| We are the second generation of a family business that was founded in 1980 as a food testing laboratory and consulting by Dr Joan Ferrer-Rovira (PhD Chemistry). Currently, the testing and consultancy services offered by Dr Ferrer-Rovira are an independent reference in the fields of cured meat products, industrial pastry and bakery and application of ingredients in food products, among others.
In 1999, his son, Francesc (PhD Ag. Engineer), joined the business and expand it by holding the official representation in Spain of Decagon Devices inc (Pullman, WA, USA), www.decagon.com. Decagon manufactures instruments for soil and canopy research as well as instruments for measuring water activity in foods. Since 2003, more wide world recognized companies we have incorporated: Regent Instruments (Sainte-Foy, Québec, Canada), www.regentinstruments.com, UMS GmbH (München, Germany) www.ums-muc.de, ICT INTERNATIONAL (Australia) www.ictinternational.com.au and FullStop (www.fullstop.com.au).
Recently, consultancy services related to irrigation scheduling and water management, soil surveying and measurement of soil thermal properties (buried power lines, oil companies, etc…) have been implemented and launched.
Following one of Dr Ferrer-Rovira’s mission, we strongly focus on our customer’s needs. We first help our customer to define their needs and then we recommend the product that suits them best
